About me:

I’m Harry Dhaliwal — Shamashpuria

I belong to Shamashpur, a village that shaped my identity and nurtured my voice. From a young age, I was drawn to music. I still remember singing songs like “Chithiye Ni Chithiye” by Harbhajan Mann, along with the timeless melodies of Legend Kuldeep Manak, Gurdas Maan, Babbu Maan, and many others. What began as simple admiration soon grew into passion.

By the time I reached Grade 10, I had written my very first song—a piece I still carry with me, and one I will be officially releasing soon. From there, writing became a companion through every phase of life. I would compose songs in school and college, and the memories of singing them in classrooms, evening gatherings, and with friends at parties are etched deep in my heart.

For me, lyrics are not just words—they are emotions, experiences, and truths woven into rhythm. Every song I write carries a part of my journey and an invitation for listeners to feel something real.

What Makes My Lyrics Unique:

Every lyric I create is born from real emotions and lived experiences. I don’t write to impress—I write to express. My words are simple yet deep, carrying the kind of honesty that allows anyone listening to see themselves in the story.

Themes I Explore:

  • Love & Longing – the heartbeat of human connection, the sweetness of union, and the ache of distance.

  • Memories & Nostalgia – childhood friendships, youthful dreams, and moments that never leave us.

  • Life’s Struggles & Strength – resilience, patience, and finding hope even in silence.

  • Cultural Roots – my village Shamashpur, Punjabi traditions, and the essence of belonging.

Feelings I Want to Evoke:

Through my lyrics, I want listeners to:

  • Feel understood when they’re hurting.

  • Smile and relive memories of the past.

  • Find hope in times of struggle.

  • Connect deeply with their own emotions and relationships.

Music, for me, is not just sound—it’s healing, storytelling, and companionship.

My Journey So Far:

When I look back on my path as a lyricist, I don’t measure it in awards or recognition. Instead, I treasure the milestones that kept my passion alive. I’ve officially released a few songs and shared a heartfelt blog on my website, “Ohdi Chup Boldi Si.”

Life’s responsibilities and limited resources didn’t always let me choose writing as a career, but I never let go of it. Songwriting became my quiet companion—something I carried through every phase, whether or not the world was watching.

What I am most proud of is this consistency: that I kept writing, even when it was just for myself. That flame never faded—it has only grown stronger.

Looking ahead, I dream of releasing more official songs, building a collection of music that speaks to real emotions, and publishing books that preserve my words for generations to come. For me, the journey has just begun—the best chapters are still waiting to be written.

My Dreams for the Future:

My dream is simple but deeply meaningful: to share my words and music with the world, to touch hearts, and to create art that lasts beyond a moment. I see myself releasing more official songs, each carrying real emotions, stories, and memories that people can relate to.

I also hope to publish books of poetry and lyrics, so that my words can live on in pages, reaching those who find comfort, inspiration, or joy in them. Beyond that, I dream of collaborating with other artists and musicians, blending voices and experiences to create something truly memorable.

In the next few years, I see Lyricist Harry Dhaliwal as more than just a hobbyist passion—it will be a voice that connects people through music and poetry, a platform for expression, and a reflection of life’s beauty, struggles, and emotions. While the journey has been quiet so far, I know the best chapters are yet to come, and I am excited to share them with everyone who listens, reads, or connects with my work.
